“The Many Hats We Wear”

This piece was inspired by seeing lives lived constantly wearing different “hats.” In my lifetime I have had to pile many different rolls onto my own head (i.e, mother, wife, nurse, artist, and many more) it can feel overwhelming at times when those hats pile up. I played around with the concept when I did a photo shoot to capture the reference photo (played by my youngest son) In the end I wanted him to be wearing a serene expression. He knows the hats are piling up, but is at piece with hats that have been piled upon him. Can you guess what each hat -represents?
